Application Process

Please note that the application for the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation (BCSCF) is no longer available on our website as recent changes to the application and approval process have been adopted.

One reason for the change is to help alleviate the application burden for organizations.  Therefore, going forward you will only need to complete a one-page "Letter of Interest" (LOI) and submit it along with a copy of your 501c3 determination letter. 

Our BCSCF Board of Directors will review LOI's semi-annually (May & November) for organizations located in the greater Taunton/Attleboro areas; our Southcoast Advisory Board of Directors will review LOI's three times annually (February, June and October) for organizations located in the Southcoast; our Pawtucket Advisory Board of Directors will also review LOI's three times annually (January, May & September) for organizations located in Pawtucket, RI.  Upon review, the board will either invite organizations to complete a full application at a recommended funding amount or inform the organization that the grant request was not recommended for funding. 

Additionally, special consideration may be given to grants which focus on education and literacy, economic development, and housing and the low-moderate income population.

2013 Letter of Interest Deadlines

The deadline for submission of your LOI is based upon the area in which you are located.

Greater Taunton/Attleboro areas:

• March 1, 2013 (May meeting)
• September 6, 2013 (November meeting)

These semi-annual meetings cover grant requests from the following communities only:

Attleboro, Berkley, Dighton, Franklin, North Attleborough, Norton, Plainville, Raynham, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Taunton, and Wrentham, Massachusetts.

Southcoast area:

• August 1, 2012 (October meeting)
• December 7, 2012 (February meeting)
• April 5, 2013 (June meeting)

These quarterly meetings cover grant requests from the following communities only:

Dartmouth, Fall River, New Bedford, and Westport Massachusetts.

Pawtucket, RI :

• November 16, 2012 (January meeting)
• March 1, 2013 (May meeting)
• July 1, 2013 (September meeting)

These quarterly meetings cover grant requests from the Pawtucket, Rhode Island community only.
