| As a result of our community involvement, outreach and support efforts, the Bank was chosen as the only Massachusetts bank to host a contingency of 40 Japanese bankers in June 2007. This delegation represented the Shinkin Bank which is made up of over 300 banks with more than 7,700 branches throughout Japan. Executive Management of the Bank along with the Shinkin Bank delegation commemorate their visit in front of our main office in Taunton. | From the beginning, the founders of Bristol County Savings Bank understood the importance of being a catalyst for and contributing to the economic and social well-being of the communities where we conduct business. Today, the same philosophy remains an integral part of the Bank’s strategic goals. The Bank’s Board of Directors and management team share a deep rooted philosophy that to achieve success, we must reinvest in our communities and help to sustain them.As a result, our support to the economic and social welfare of the communities we serve takes many forms. One form of community reinvestment and support is through our volunteer efforts. In fact, we not only want to be involved as a good corporate citizen, but we strive to be a leader. Many of our Directors, Officers and employees donate their time, talent and expertise, and in many cases, in leadership roles, to numerous community organizations. You don’t have to look very hard at the boards of not-for-profit and community development organizations within our community to find a Director, Officer or employee of the Bristol County Savings Bank. Another form of contributing to our communities is through our financial support. With the establishment of the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation in 1996, we are able to offer financial support to area not-for-profit organizations and assist them in their efforts to provide much needed community programs and services.
