Bristol County Promotes Three in Attleboro

TAUNTON, MA, September 6, 2018 — Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, announces that Alissa Hall, Janet Silva and Margaret Van Buren have been promoted in its Attleboro, Massachusetts offices. As vice president – commercial lending, Hall is responsible for developing new business while cross-selling the Bank’s other products and services and assisting in the management of its commercial loan portfolio. She will continue to be based at the Commercial Lending Office at 130 Pleasant Street. Silva and Van Buren were promoted to Trust Officer in the Bank’s Trust division located at 150 North Main Street. In this capacity, they are responsible for the administration and client service of trust accounts, as well as estate settlement.

Photo of Alissa Hall, Assistant Vice President Commercial LendingPrior to her promotion, Hall served as an Assistant Vice President – Commercial Lending, Commercial Loan Officer, Commercial Lender, Commercial Credit Analyst, Senior Auditor, Audit Assistant and Teller for the Bank. She has been active in numerous organizations throughout her career and is presently a Board Member/President Elect of the Attleboro Rotary Club, a Board Member of the Robbins Children’s Programs in Attleboro as well as the Attleboro YMCA and a member of the Rick Management Association and the United Regional Chamber of Commerce. Hall earned her master’s degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, New York and her bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She also completed several certificate programs, most recently from the New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts; the Risk Management Association; and the Massachusetts Bankers Association of Commercial Lending. Hall resides in East Taunton, Massachusetts.

Silva has worked for more than 23 years at Bristol County Savings Bank. Before her most recent promotion, she held the positions of Assistant Trust Officer, Systems Coordinator and Trust Account Representative for the Bank’s Financial Advisory Services division. Active in the community, Silva is the Treasurer for Rare New England, Inc., Attleboro, Massachusetts and is a Past District Activities Committee Member of the Boy Scouts of America. She earned her master’s degree in Finance and her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from New England College of Business in Boston, Massachusetts and her associate’s degree in Accounting from Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner, Massachusetts. Silva resides in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Photo of Maggie Van Buren, CTFA, Assistant Trust OfficerPrior to being named Trust Officer, Van Buren held the positions of Assistant Trust Officer and Account Administrator for the Bank’s Financial Advisory Services department. Before her tenure at the Bank, she served as a Training Administrator/Registered Representative at Merrill Lynch in Boston, Massachusetts and a Certified Sales Specialist for Clarins USA. Van Buren is a member of the Bristol County Estate Planning Council and earned her Master of Business Administration degree from SUNY Albany School of Business and her bachelor’s degree in Business from SUNY Albany. In 2016, she received her designation of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association. Van Buren resides in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
