Bristol County Savings Bank Awards $10,000 Grant to The Team Noah Foundation

TAUNTON, MA, January 17, 2019 — Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), through its Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation (BCSCF), recently awarded a grant totaling $10,000 to support the Team Noah Foundation. Team Noah, based in New Bedford, Massachusetts, is dedicated to finding a cure for mitochondrial diseases and funds research by the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF). Team Noah also works toward improving the quality of life for children and families with special needs and medical conditions by equipping them with productive changes to their environment.

Bristol County Savings Bank is an active supporter in the communities in which it serves. The Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation was established in 1996 as part of the Bank’s 150th Anniversary celebration. Its purpose is to fund needs that contribute to the economic and the social well-being of the people and institutions located in the greater Attleboro/Taunton Region, the Southcoast Region and Rhode Island, with particular emphasis in the areas of education and literacy, economic development and housing for the low- to moderate-income population. Since the Foundation began, close to $20 million has been committed to hundreds of different non-profit organizations. In 2018, the Foundation awarded $1.9 million to various 501(c)(3) organizations.
