Bristol County Savings Bank Awards $15,000 in Grants to Three Non-Profits as Part of Its Annual Support to the Greater Taunton Community

TAUNTON, MA, October 25, 2019 — In partnership with the City of Taunton and Mayor Thomas Hoye, Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB) recently awarded three grants totaling $15,000 to local non-profits Taunton Area Community Table, Inc. ($10,000), Friends of the Taunton Pathways, Inc. ($2,500) and Corline Cronan’s Family, Inc. ($2,500).

The Taunton Area Community Table (TacT), is a community-based meal center that provides healthy meals to low-income individuals and families in a warm, friendly and safe atmosphere. The Friends of the Taunton Pathways, Inc. improves bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in Taunton and surrounding communities. Corline Cornan’s Family is an all-volunteer organization that provides hot meals for those in need on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.

Patrick J. Murray, Jr., President and CEO of the Bank, and Mayor Hoye awarded the grants to the local charities. “While planning our annual commitment to greater Taunton, we recently met with Mayor Hoye to review the various needs of the community and determine where the Bank’s support could best make a difference,” said Murray. “We look forward to seeing the impact these dedicated non-profit organizations make with the funds, whether it’s around the upcoming holidays or throughout the coming year.”
