Bristol County Savings Bank Promotes Three in Commercial Lending

TAUNTON, MA, April 14, 2016 — Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, has promoted Timothy A. Chaves to the position of Vice President, Commercial Lending and Alissa E. Hall and Michael P. Patacao to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending.

Tim Chaves 2016As vice president, commercial lending, Timothy Chaves is responsible for developing new business, cross-selling the Bank’s other products and services and assisting in the management of BCSB’s commercial loan portfolio while based at the Pawtucket, Rhode Island branch at 215 Armistice Boulevard.  Previously, he served as: Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending; Commercial Loan Officer; and a Management Trainee at the Bank.

Chaves was named Banker of the Year in 2015 by the South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation.  He is a member of The Risk Management Association – New England Chapter’s Young Professionals Group and a graduate of The Risk Management Association’s Loan Officer Resident Seminar. Chaves earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting and finance from Boston University’s School of Management, Boston Massachusetts and is a graduate, with honors, from the New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts.  Chaves resides in Boston, Massachusetts.

 

Alissa HallAs an Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending in the Attleboro, Massachusetts area, Alissa Hall is responsible for developing new business while cross-selling Bristol County Savings Bank’s other products and services and assisting in the management of the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio. She will continue to be based at the Bank’s Commercial Lending Office at 130 Pleasant Street in Attleboro. Prior to her appointment, Hall served as a Commercial Loan Officer, Commercial Lender, Commercial Credit Analyst, Senior Auditor, Audit Assistant and Teller for the Bank.

Hall has been active in numerous professional organizations throughout her career and is presently a Board Member of the Attleboro Rotary Club, a Board Member of the Robbins Children’s Program in Attleboro, a Committee Member for the Attleboro YMCA and a member of the United Regional Chamber of Commerce, the United Regional Young Professionals Organization and the Young Professionals Group of The Risk Management Association – New England Chapter. She earned her master’s degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, New York and her bachelor’s in criminal justice from Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Massachusetts.  She also graduated from several certificate programs, most recently from the New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts and The Risk Management Association – New England Chapter and the Massachusetts Bankers Association of Commercial Lending. Hall resides in East Taunton, Massachusetts.

 

Photo of Michael Patacao, Vice President/Commercial LendingSixteen-year local banking veteran, Michael Patacao, is now Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending for the Bank’s Southcoast area and will continue to be based at the Bank’s office at 215 Pleasant Street in Fall River, Massachusetts.  In his new position Patacao is responsible for developing new business while cross-selling Bristol County Savings Bank’s other products and services and assisting in the management of the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio.  Prior to his appointment, he served as Commercial Loan Officer for the Southcoast area and Branch Manager of the Bank’s Dartmouth, Massachusetts banking office.  Before his tenure at Bristol County Savings Bank, Patacao was Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager at Sovereign Bank in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and held several positions at Bank of America’s Dartmouth branch, including Business Specialist, Customer Service Representative and Teller.

Patacao has shown a commitment to the Southcoast community throughout his career and presently serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for Junior Achievement of Southeastern Massachusetts, based in New Bedford and as a Board Member for SSTAR (Stanley Street Treatment & Resources, Inc.) in Fall River.  He is also on the Leadership Committee for both the SouthCoast Young Professionals Network and the Young Professionals of Greater Fall River and is a member of the Southcoast Business Alliance, the Fall River Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the New Bedford Chamber of Commerce.

Patacao earned his bachelor’s degree in management from UMass Dartmouth and is a graduate, with honors, from the New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts.  In 2015, he was recognized with the SouthCoast Five Emerging Leaders Award and he is currently attending Leadership SouthCoast, Class of 2016. Patacao resides in Westport, Massachusetts.
