Sail away to Block Island. . .take a trip back to carefree times!
Thursday, July 23rd
Located just 12 miles off the coast of Rhode Island, Block Island has been heralded as ‘One of the last twelve great places in the Western Hemisphere’. Its rolling green hills and dramatic bluffs are reminiscent of Ireland, while its beautifully restored Victorian hotels and inns preserve the elegance of a bygone era.
Join Prime Time™ as we explore this 11 square mile seaside resort on Thursday, July 23rd. After our short ferry ride from Point Judith, we’ll arrive in Old Harbor, Block Island. This village offers a variety of shops, restaurants and authentic architecture; typical of a historic seaside New England town.
During our visit, we’ll take a narrated tour on an island bus. Along our tour we will not come across any traffic lights or big chain businesses however; we will enjoy the island’s natural landscapes, rolling hills and a stop at the historical Southeast Lighthouse – located on Mohegan Bluffs.
Today’s lunch is served at The National Hotel – Block Island’s flagship Victorian hotel listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Meal choices include: Pan Seared Chicken Breast in a lemon basil butter sauce, New England Scrod w/ breadcrumbs and toasted garlic lemon oil or Seafood Casserole Medley baked w/ a Ritz cracker topping.
Trip cost is $115.00 for Prime Time members and $125.00 for your guests and includes:
