Image of Boothbay HarborJoin PRIME TIME™ for an unforgettable 3-day-getaway to Boothbay Harbor July 7th – 9th. Known as the “soul of the coast”, this quaint seaside town offers a scenic waterfront, a quaint downtown area and plenty of things to do!

Day 1: After an early departure, we’ll travel to the seaside town of Boothbay Harbor. Upon our arrival, we’ll embark on a “seafari” cruise. Narrated by the National Audubon Puffin Project, we’ll learn firsthand about the success in reestablishing the Puffin Colony, directly from those involved in the project. We’ll also see seals, blue heron and other coastal wildlife along the way to Eastern Egg Rock, nesting island for the Atlantic Puffins. Following our nature cruise, we’ll check in to the Fisherman’s Wharf Inn, our home for the next two evenings. This charming inn is conveniently located in the heart of downtown and overlooks the beautiful harbor. This evening’s dinner is at the hotel. Meal choices are: (D)

Prime Rib au jus    Chicken Florentine    Baked Stuffed Haddock

Day 2: This morning we’ll enjoy breakfast at our hotel. Later, we’ll board the Bennie Alice for a relaxing 1-hour tour of beautiful Boothbay Harbor. This tour will sail along Maine’s picturesque coastline, where you’ll see lighthouses, ospreys and fishermen hauling in their traps. The cruise will drop us off at Cabbage Island for an authentic Downeast Clambake. Complete with ‘all the fixings’, the clambake includes a cup of fish chowder, two luscious lobsters (chicken may be substituted), steamed clams, corn on the cob and blueberry cake for dessert! This evening, you’ll have time to explore beautiful downtown Boothbay Harbor on your own. (B, L)

Day 3: Following a leisurely breakfast, we’ll depart the hotel for home. En route, we’ll reconnect with the beauty of nature on a docent-led tour through a horticultural maze of blossoming beauty at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Later, we’ll make a stop for lunch at beautiful Dimillo’s on the Water in Portland. Your choices for lunch at this floating restaurant are: (B,L)
