The Boston Pops Presents West Side Story

Saturday, June 16th

America’s favorite orchestra celebrates an icon at 100 – Leonard Bernstein!

Join PRIME TIME™ on Saturday, June 16th as we make our annual visit to the Boston Symphony Hall for The Boston Pops presentation of West Side Story in concert.

Bernstein’s most beloved Broadway score comes to life performed by the Boston Pops in all its dramatic richness. A cast of Broadway singers join the orchestra for this concert presentation of America’s own Romeo and Juliet, separated by the racial and social strife of 1950’s New York. From the first notes to the final breath, this landmark musical is one of the greatest love stories of all time. Bernstein’s score, with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, is regarded as one of the best ever written.

Our day begins with a delicious lunch at The Stockyard Restaurant in Brighton. This historical restaurant is a Boston landmark that has been serving quality meals for more than four decades.  Today’s buffet luncheon consists of marinated chargrilled tenderloin steak tips, baked haddock with panko crust and chicken with broccoli. Entrée items are accompanied with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables and fresh oven baked rolls.

Following the meal, we’ll make our pilgrimage to Boston Symphony Hall for an unforgettable afternoon of West Side Story in concert conducted by Keith Lockhart.

Come see why The Boston Pops are known as America’s favorite orchestra! Trip cost is $140 for Prime Time members and $150 for your guests.
