Bristol County Savings Bank Commits $150,000 Grant To Attleboro Enterprises, Inc. For Building Renovation Of Planned Plainville Program Center
TAUNTON, MA, September 8, 2026 — Bristol County Savings Bank, through its Foundation, recently committed a $150,000 grant to be awarded in three annual installments to Attleboro Enterprises, Inc. (AEI) based in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. The donation will support the $4 million renovation of the organization’s recently purchased building at 300 South Street in Plainville, Massachusetts, into the state-of-the-art Plainville Program Center designed to address the community’s need for more day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation was formed in 1996, more than $38 million has been committed to hundreds of non-profits in the communities the Bank serves. In 2025 alone, the Foundation awarded $2.9 million to various 501(c)(3) organizations.
AEI has built an outstanding reputation as a premier provider of dignity-forward programs and services for a wide range of individuals with challenges. Capacity has been reached at its North Attleboro facility and services have been moved off-site to maximize existing program space. The addition of the Plainville Program Center will open slots for approximately 165 individuals to receive outstanding day programs. This building will also bring together programs that have been isolated, help address individual’s specific needs and provide the flexibility to grow and adapt to emerging trends. The facility will feature several exciting components, including a cafeteria, teaching kitchen, wellness center, sensory friendly low stimulation space, full nursing station and ample meeting and classroom spaces. The property will also offer space for an expansive outdoor area, including a playing field, meditation garden, sensory garden and several patios.

Attleboro Enterprises, Inc., a non-profit human resources organization based in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, supports adults with cognitive and physical challenges by promoting opportunities for them to become contributing members of society, build self-esteem and to achieve their life goals. This mission is supported with the following programs: Community Based Day Services (CBDS), day habilitation, employment training & job placement services, group home living and the Positive Autism Social Society (PASS) framework.
