Join PRIME TIME™ for a journey to Rhode Island’s beautiful South County to learn all about lavender.
Traditionally used for culinary purposes, in more recent times, this versatile plant has found its way into essential oils, skincare products, and even as a natural bug repellent. Its calming aroma has also been known to promote relaxation and improve sleep quality.
Our day begins with a guided tour of Lavender Waves Farm. Our knowledgeable guide will share the story of this private, family-owned farm with over 4000 lavender plants representing ten unique varieties. We’ll also have the opportunity to meet the farm’s resident animals, including camels, alpacas, llamas, and many more.
Following the tour, we’ll enjoy lunch at The Haversham Tavern in Westerly, RI. Established in the 1800s as a boarding house, this historic landmark evolved into a tavern and restaurant in 2025. Entrée choices are baked haddock or bourbon glazed sirloin tips.
After dessert and before heading home, we’ll make a stop in the charming seaside village of Watch Hill, known for it's beaches, boutiques, and scenic coastal views.
