Bristol County Savings Bank Promotes Alden and Sprague to 1st Vice President

TAUNTON, MA, September 4, 2025 — Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, announces the promotions of Jann M. Alden and Darrin P. Sprague, CIA, CISA, CRISC, to the positions of 1^st VP/Customer Service and 1^st VP/Information Security Officer, respectively. In these new capacities, Alden oversees all Bank functions related to customer service, including managing the Bank’s Contact Center for customer calls and chat as well as the ITM network (Remote Interactive Teller Machine), and Sprague is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and reporting on the Bank’s enterprise information security system.

A 38-year veteran of the banking industry, Jann Alden previously served for 18 years as VP/Customer Service, VP/Regional Banking Officer, AVP/Regional Administrator and AVP/Branch Manager at Bristol County Savings Bank. Prior to joining the Bank, Alden was VP & Branch Manager at Eastern Bank’s Taunton and Raynham branch offices and Cluster Manager and Branch Manager for several Fleet/Bank of New England offices.

In addition to her banking responsibilities, Alden is committed to the local community where she is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer for both Community Counseling of Bristol County in Taunton and Friends of Attleboro Public Library and a Past President and member of the Board of Directors for the Attleboro Norton YMCA. In addition, she is a member of the Attleboro Rotary Club and Taunton Area School to Career. Alden has been recognized with both The Rotary Club of Taunton and Rotary Club of Attleboro’s Paul Harris Award and the Bank’s Volunteer of the Year Award. A graduate of Massasoit Community College, Brockton, Massachusetts, she also graduated from the Massachusetts Bankers Association School for Financial Studies, Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts. Alden resides in Taunton.

Prior to his most recent promotion, Darrin Sprague served as Vice President/Information Security Officer for the Bank. Previously, he held a number of positions with Citizens Financial Group, including Senior Vice President - Information Security Policy, Process & Governance and Senior Vice President - Audit Director. Throughout his 30-year career, Sprague has also served in a variety of internal audit, risk and control leadership positions at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Staples, Inc., Teradyne, Inc. and Ernst & Young LLP.

Sprague is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and holds a Master Certificate in Enterprise Cybersecurity Leadership from the Professional Development Academy. He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the Third Party Risk Association. Sprague earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts and resides in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
