The Boston Pops Present: Star Wars: A New Hope

Saturday, May 11th

Experience the scope and grandeur of Star Wars: A New Hope in high-definition while The Boston Pops perform John Williams’ iconic musical score.

Join PRIME TIME™ on Saturday, May 11th as we make our annual visit to the Boston Symphony Hall as The Boston Pops present Star Wars: A New Hope in concert.

Witness Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops as they present this classic film with live orchestral accompaniment of the unforgettable John Williams score. Set 30 years after Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: A New Hope is the fourth episode of the saga. The imperial forces, under orders from the cruel Darth Vader, hold Princess Leia hostage, in their efforts to quell the rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Luke Skywalker and Hans Solo work together with the companionable droid due R2-D2 and C-3PO to rescue the beautiful princess, help the Rebel Alliance and restore freedom and justice to the Galaxy.

Prior to the performance, we’ll begin the day with a delicious brunch at Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant in Quincy. Nestled inside Bay Pointe Marina, the Inn at Bay Pointe offers a spectacular New England backdrop for their wonderful brunch. “There is nothing better than sitting on the dock of the bay!” Today’s brunch features scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, ham sausage, mini bagels and muffins, fresh fruit plus more!

After brunch, we’ll make our pilgrimage to Boston Symphony Hall for an unforgettable afternoon of Star Wars: A New Hope in concert conducted by Keith Lockhart.
